BOULDER, Colo. (June 30, 2026) — Business leader, Navy veteran, and 2026 Forward Party nominee for the U.S. Senate Bob Chew released the following statement reacting to the Colorado primary night results:
“Tonight’s primary results make one thing clear: Colorado voters will be asked once again to choose between two major party nominees shaped by the same broken political incentives that have left Washington gridlocked, performative, and out of touch,” said Bob Chew. “The Democratic and Republican nominees are two sides of the same coin. On one side is John Hickenlooper, who voted in favor of suspending the debt ceiling and for massive government spending bills that led to more debt burden for our children to bear, more inflation, and higher costs for Colorado families. On the other side is Mark Baisley, who has positioned himself as a far-right partisan who will march in lock-step with Donald Trump on the road to a national debt of over $40 trillion.”
Independent U.S. Senate candidate Bob Chew is offering Colorado something different: a practical, solution-oriented public servant focused on problem-solving rather than party warfare. Chew, a Navy submarine veteran, engineer and businessman who created hundreds of jobs, is running to restore seriousness, accountability, and independence to the United States Senate. Chew is running to serve the interests of Colorado voters and not the interests of a political party. As an Independent, he will not have to vote the party line.
“Primary night is a reminder that the two major parties are not listening to the people caught in the middle,” said Bob Chew. “Coloradans are tired of politicians who perform for donors, party bosses, and cable news audiences while exacerbating the real problems. I am running as an Independent because Colorado deserves a senator who is bought by no one, bullied by no one, and accountable to voters first.”
Bob Chew is an Independent candidate for the United States Senate from Colorado, nominated for the general election ballot by the Forward Party. He is a Navy submarine veteran, engineer, successful businessman, and problem-solver committed to restoring a functioning Senate and putting Colorado voters ahead of party politics.
